We were delighted to be asked to work with LS Productions on the video to accompany Harry Styles’ hit song Adore You, from his December 2019 album Fine Line. The seven-and-a-half-minute video, directed by Dave Meyers, tells the story of a peculiar glowing boy, growing up lonely and rejected on the gloomy island of Eroda, who is saved from suicide by an unlikely intervention.
Project Details
Meyers and Styles built a huge fictional world, populated by places and characters depicted in the epic video, and used it as part of a vast digital marketing campaign for fans in the run up to the release of the track.
Artem Scotland designed, built and tested key special props for the video: an umbrella that burst into flames when Harry’s character smiles at some local women and a huge breakable fish tank which explodes at the climax of the story, releasing Harry’s fishy friend onto the cobbles of the harbour.
Artem also built the trolley for Harry to pull the fish tank and supported the production on set.
This is the third Harry Styles outing for Artem Scotland, which has previously worked on Kiwi and Sign of the Times. The full Adore You video can be seen here.
